Penfolds Rawson's Retreat Cabernet Sauvignon offers an elegant nose with aromas of ripe blackcurrant, plum, and red berries, enhanced by subtle notes of herbs, mint, and a touch of vanilla from oak maturation.
The palate is medium-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, such as blackcurrant and blackberry, balanced by a fine structure of firm tannins and hints of cedar, chocolate, and a touch of earthy spice.
The finish is smooth and clean, with lingering dark fruit flavors and a light oak influence, leaving a refreshing, balanced aftertaste.
The Rawson’s Retreat range of wines was affectionately named after our founder’s family cottage which he built in 1845, one year after he planted his first vineyard on the property.
Rawson’s Retreat Cabernet Sauvignon has deep red hues, spiced flavours and raspberries on the nose. Good fruit weight with cherries and oak flavours with a rich mid palate and a smooth
tannin finish.
